Professional Statement
Dr. Turesky was raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. He attended Brookline High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Tufts University School of Liberal Arts. He received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry, Cum Laude, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Upon graduation Dr. Turesky was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Society for academic excellence. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and affiliated hospitals (Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston City Hospital, University Hospital, Veteran’s Administration Hospital Jamaica Plain).
Following completion of his residency, Dr. Turesky entered private practice and served for eleven years as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Turesky now dedicates his entire professional time to his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice located in Mansfield and Norwood, Massachusetts. Dr. Turesky is a staff member of the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts. Dr. Turesky is a current certified provider of Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Turesky’s practice specializes in the management of patient anxiety and pain control. He offers a wide range of anesthetic techniques including: Intravenous General Anesthesia, Intravenous Conscious Sedation, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Gas Anesthesia and Oral Sedation with Local Anesthesia. Dr. Turesky treats patients of all ages. He offers his patients a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical services.
Dr. Turesky has special interest in dental implant surgery and related bone grafting surgery. He has published in the Journal of Implant Dentistry. In addition to implant dentistry, Dr. Turesky is particularly interested in all dentoalveolar surgical procedures including the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, dental extractions, surgical exposure of impacted teeth, apicoectomies (surgical root canal therapy), infections, pathology and dental-facial trauma.
Dr. Turesky lives in Newton, Massachusetts with his wife, Gayle and has two children, Melissa and Jason. During his leisure time Dr. Turesky enjoys scuba diving with his son, Jason, hiking, reading, kyaking and skiing with his family.
